Boiling of Milk

Firstly, in the morning A2 milk is collected from the Gir cows and then it is boiled to remove any bacteria.

The boiled milk is then slightly cooled down and a teaspoon of curd called jamvan is added to it. It is then kept for a few hours until it turns into curd.


Bilona or Churnnig of Curd

Next, a churner is used to churn the curd and extract Makhan from it. This is the most lengthy process that separates butter and buttermilk from the curd. After the butter is extracted it is washed and now it's ready for the next step. 


Extracting Ghee
